Default UncleBobby's AP1 Street/Track Machine Build Thread

So after a few years of progress I'd like to finally document my build and have a place to jot down my updates, fluid changes, etc. The car has been through a few different sets of wheels, suspensions, and exhausts over the years, and now we've just about reached her final form. All work performed by myself with the exception of pressing bushings/bearings - ain't nobody got time for dat!

Thanks for stopping by!

MY03 - SSM:

- Engine:

- Internally stock F20C
- Origin Fab N/A Header and Exhaust package - 63.5mm - 321 Stainless steel with additional resonator and Helmholtz resonator - the performance and sound quality from this system is worth every last penny!
- AEM V2 Intake with Blox composite velocity stack and filter
- OEM Throttle Body bored to 70mm by Maxbore and port matched intake manifold.
- Spoon Engine / Transmission / Diff Mounts
- Haltech Platinum Stand Alone ECU, tuned by Jeff Evans.
- 10/30 Castrol GTX Conventional - Never burnt a single drop. OEM Filter
- OEM TCT @ 70k miles
- Replaced Rear Main Seal
- New Valve Cover gasket every valve adjustment
- New VTEC Solenoid gasket/screen

- Drivetrain:

- Sourced a 30k mile AP1 trans
- CM FX200 Pressure plate
- OEM Disc
- CC Ultralight Flywheel
- Braided Line

- Suspension/Handling:

- Ohlins Road and Track DFV Dampers with Swift Spring upgrade to 12k F / 10K R rates.
- Spoon Complete Control Arm Bushing package
- Spoon Front Bump Steer kit
- Spoon Subframe Collars
- Spoon Steering Rack Collars
- HardRace Rear Bump Steer kit
- Eibach F&R Sway Bars
- New OEM Ball Joints, Wheel Bearings, Tie Rods, and Alignment hardware
- Enkei RPF1 17x9 +45 x 4 / Hankook RS3 - 255/40 - I run a 5mm spacer in the rear because I hate the idea of a RWD looking front heavy. Wheels are powdercoated Gloss Black
- Project Kics R26 Black Chrome lugs.
- Alignment and Corner Balance by Gato Engineering

- Braking:

- Carbotech AX6 with StopTech blanks during the high season
- OEM Pads with a second set of blanks for the off season
- Goodrich lines
- ATE TYP 200 Fluid
- LHT Master cylinder brace

- Interior:

- Recaro Pole Position Driver Seat
- PCI Slider Seat Mount with Baseplate
- Momo Mod 78 Suede 350mm
- JDM NSX Type R Horn Button
- Works Bell Standard Hub with WB 10mm Spacer
- 1 of 1 Origin Fab Burnt Titanium weighted Tear Drop Shifter
- Spoon Rearview Mirror
- Red Door cards and floor mats
- AP2 Cluster Bezel
- AP2 Radio with BT-45 Bluetooth adapter

- Exterior:

- OEM AP1 Lip - God, this took forever to find!!
- S-Factor Front Lip Protector/Half Splitter and Straight Cut Side Splitters
- Blox Shorty antenna painted full black.
- Moddiction Convex Blue Mirrors.
- MY01 Tail Lights - HATED the chrome rings.

- Weight Reduction:

- Origin Header/Exhaust package weighs a mere 21lbs
- Every above mod was with weight reduction in mind, i.e. Drivers Seat, Wheels, etc
- Removed Air Pump assembly
- Odyssey PC680 Battery with custom bracket
- Roughly 175-200lbs shaved in total.

- Future:

- Decide on a roll bar and harness situation
- Might move to a BBK or more aggressive Carbotech's, I'm pretty content with the AX6's for the time being.
- Bronze Volks of the x9.5 variety - Come on, who didn't see this coming?!?

-Current Mileage/Valve Adjustment/Fluid Change Record:

- Mileage: 86,185
- Oil Change: 85,671 Due: 88,671
- Transmission Fluid Change: 85,671 Due: 91,671
- Differential Fluid Change: 82,728 Due: 92,728
- Brake Fluid: Roughly 8/2016 Due: 8/2018
- Tire Rotation: 85,671 previous 81,448 Due: 90,671 - rotated early - 88,xxx - 5/28/2018
- Valve Adjustment .008/in / .010/ex: 4/17 Due: 4/18 - done 4/18 - next 4/19
- Clay Bar / Polish / Wax: 10/17

CRV:
Oil, Valve Lash, Tires @ 146k

Jeff Evan. Jeff has tuned my old car and a few friends and I've always loved how thorough he is with everything. His customer service before and after the fact is top top stuff as well. We've exchanged hundreds of emails over the years.
