Default 2000 Ducati Monster 750 Dark opinions?

I have a chance to puchase a used one at a really good price. Opinions anyone? I've read reviews on it but I'd like to hear yours if you have any. Thanks!

Great handling bike based on the 888 frame. I don't think any of the 750M's had adjustable suspension, which means that you'd have to Race Tech the shocks if they weren't handling like you wanted.

The engine, however, is based on the old Pantah-based motor (OLD 50's based technology). It is underpowered--if you are just learning to ride, it's great. If not, you'll probably tire of it. The 900 or 1000 would be a better choice.

Say hello to high maintenance costs. Other than that it's a good looking bike.

a gal I ride with has had one for 2 or 3 years now, she loves it, suppose to be a whole lot better and less problematic than the 600 - 620 from what I hear... ??

Did you buy it from a guy named Danny from Fremont?

Now that you own a Monster, you need to go sign up at DucatiMonster.org (if you haven't already). Visit SFBMHA under Local Clubs to see what other Bay Area Monster owners are up to. Once spring comes there should be regular group rides once again.

As for the comment about the Monster having an 888 frame, I own an 888 and the only part of the frame they kept is from the engine bolts to the steering head. The back section is totally different. The older Monsters had a similar aluminum swingarm, but it wasn't exactly the same and the "hugger" is not interchangable between the two.

No "dark" Monster has adjustable front suspension and I don't think any of the M750's did either.

They're a fun bike to ride.

Now you need to remove some of that big tail. A Monster tail should look more like this:
