Honda continues to be a dominant leader in the world marketplace. This is another example of their forward thinking. Although this doesn't appeal to me personally from a buying perspective, I think it's cool that there is now an automatic, and it's made by Honda. It'll be interesting to see how this goes, or what it may spawn.

I hadn't seen this. Thanks for posting!

I wasn't aware of that. Available in USA? What's the model?

Lats issue of, hmm, either Rider or Motorcycle Consumer News had an article on the DN-01. Seems like an odd technical showcase bike, guaranteed not to sell well at its asking price. Especially not having as much storage or weather protection as the average scooter! I want to know more about the CVT tranny in this one, since it does not use the typical belt/pulley system.

I want to see what comes next but you have to wonder what the marketing guys at Honda are smoking, to release this one to production. Some of the other oddball Hondas made sense to me, the Fury and Rune come to mind, because they serve an enthusiast niche. Who is clamoring for the DN-01?!

If someone was disabled and couldn't shift a normal bike, they'd want something like this - better to ride than not if you want to.

It's like $15 grand right? That is an expensive scooter. It does look cool for a scooter though. DN-01, Great name. It
