Default My first bike. 1975 Honda CB400F Supersport

Just picked up a '75 CB400F about a month ago and I've been really excited to get it on the road. I drove 7-8 hours round trip to go get it and it was definitely a barn find, having sat in Beaverton, Oregon. The previous owners had plans to cafe it but still has all the original parts it came with. And it only has 14K original miles! It sat for the past two years and I got it a new battery, carburetor rebuild, and some new fluids, and it started right up! I'm going to leave it just how it is now for awhile until I become a better/safer rider then I'll start modifying it. These things are such a blessing to work on

Very nice! The pistons can't be bigger than bottle caps.

Is that the seller's garage?

Yep, the man had too many classic American car projects to count! Very fortunate to have found this in a barn like that.

Great bike.
Return it to stock with the airbox and sidecovers. Clean it up. Ride and enjoy it.
It's a desired ride and worth a bunch unmolested.

Very cool. It would make for a nice looking café. Just save the original parts and don't do anything too drastic that would deface the bike. I'm sure that's a fun motor.

There is a few Seattle area S2000 guys that ride as well, and would be fun to get together for a meet/ride at some point. Last year a handful of us met at the Weekly RTC cars and coffee and went for a ride.

Nice bike. I like the chrome on these old-school rides. A friend's older brother had an early 1970s CB450, when he was in HS. Rode that thing everywhere, for years. One of the most reliable bikes, ever.
