The tech seems to have come a long way in a short time. Hard to knock it. I'm still addicted to the visceral noisy experience of a gas/piston engine. I ride a 2 stroke for Christ sakes, this couldn't be more opposite But it would be cool to try one of these out sometime.

Yeah, let me know when that electric motorcycle is circling the sun and shit.

Did it have a USB port?

I still love the sound of my 600RR at 15k rpms, but this bike was awesome for surface street riding. I was in the middle of Santa Monica doing 0-60 in 3 seconds and not even a glance from anyone. And that instant torque is amazing for making moves through traffic. For me, it's similar to electric cars vs internal combustion; EVs for the everyday, internal combustion for the fun times.

For me the ICE is a big part of the fun because of the noise it makes. EV are nice, but I am not sure I'd want an electric motorcycle.

I rode a Mission at Thunderhill some years back... the lack of engine braking was a very, very strange feeling.

Like a 2 stroke engine then. I think most prefer what they are used to, and I am used to little/no engine braking. I find its actually smoother and allows the rider to modulate traction front to rear. Sometimes compression breaking in the rear can cause the rear to let lose in inconvenient times if you aren't accounting for it. Big twins are probably the worst offenders.

Yeah, I'm from the other end (like you said). The last bike I tracked/owned before getting out of it was one of the 2nd generation Tuonos. Lots of engine braking. Loved that thing.
