Everyone knows that pro athletes need to be in the best physical shape and mental preparedness to excel. Likewise, what good is the latest techno wizardry if riders are not prepared to improve themselves? Just curious how many others on the forum are dedicated enough to their riding, to workout on a regular basis. I don't mean becoming" Hulk Hogan", just a good cardio capability balanced with a trim fit physic.

I work out on a regular basis, but not just because of riding.

I've had a lot of cardio from aggressive skating in the past. I also have strong legs beacause of skating (rollerblading).

Come on guys, share your fitness routines with the rest of us. I personally am an enthusiastic squash player, and train on the stepper/treadmill/stationary bike,( days 1,3,5) then light weights(high reps) on the other days. Weekends off! I find it keeps the reflexes sharper, and the ability to remain focused longer.

To tell ya the truth, I've never worked out for the purpose of riding a M/C. Till this job came along, I was actually a cough potato. I have a weak back so I do back exercises as part of my routine. This seems to keep it in check and is sufficient for me to do my job. I do know that once I rode out to the w. coast and back over a 3 day period on a ZX-10 and my neck hurt for a week and a half afterwards. I wished I had been in better shape before the ride.

I work out regularly but not because riding....ok, I don't want to be a fat ass on an R1 but I workout to feel better about myself.

I run 5 miles every other day and lift weights every other day also....one day a week, I take it off and drink myself silly sort of to clean the system

I run three miles Mon thru Fri. Workout Mon-Wed-Fri. On the weekends I get lazy but always have tons of stuff to do around the house, wash cars, wash bike, wash truck, mow lawn... I swim everyday that pool water is > 75.
But I don't do this because I have a bike.
