Any word on a BMT Spring 2014 Date?

Any ideas when the BMT Spring 2014 event will take place, and where? Some of us have work schedules to plan out etc. Any info would be great.

I hear it will be on Saturday, April 5, and probably Eureka Springs.

Setting the Spring BMT 2014 date is difficult because winter just will not stop! We are having freezing rain, sleet, and snow the next 5 days (starting tonight) with lows below 10 deg. F. I suggested to Andy that he might want to delay by 2-3 weeks the pre-drive and the BMT from the usual dates. We really hate to have to reschedule any BMT event. The weather is too cold now in NW Arkansas to use summer tires. Jerome

The weather is definitely a consideration, but this is a rather large event and affects a lot of people. Waiting until 2-3 weeks out to announce a date for an event which requires some to take multiple days off work or adjust for other obligations is just not cool. People really need 4-6 weeks minimum notice for what is an out-of-state event for most. If weather requires later pushing the date, that's completely understandable and even necessary.

You guys do a tremendous job on what always ends up being an outstanding event. I feel a bit bad griping about this, but most everyone is thinking it and discussing it offline. I've offered in the past to help in any way I can to help get a date nailed down. I can't usually make the pre-drive, but the offer still stands as I'd love to help with planning in any way.

Looking forward to an actual announcement. Hopefully I can make it. I'm having withdrawals after missing the past 3.

You have a good point, but my suggestion was to move the event dates 2-3 weeks into the future, not the event announcement date. Jerome
