ARKANSAS THREE MOUNTAIN TOUR, 28 Sept '08
#95
Although this is an old thread, any chance of someone posting the route for this Tour. Is there any talk of resurrecting this Tour for 2013 or 2014, as it sounded like a good day of driving.

Scott, Thanks for asking about the Arkansas Three Mountain Tour (2008). That was a lot of fun, and I still have the original route turn-by-turn instructions. The Tour started with lunch at the Mather Lodge Restaurant atop Petit Jean Mountain southwest of Morrilton, AR. The Tour group assembled at 10:30 AM and after eating lunch we drove west toward and up Mt. Nebo (west of Dardanelle, AR), and then southwest toward and up Mt. Magazine, and then northbound and up little Saint Mary Mountain to Wiederkehr Village Restaurant (near Altus, AR) for supper. The Tour was only 120.7 miles total. Both Mt. Magazine and Mt. Petit Jean have very nice lodges with good restaurants at their tops so the Tour could be started atop either mountain.
I would be happy to provide the turn-by-turn instructions to any S2000 owner who wants to be the tourmaster for a new Arkansas Three Mountain Tour. I also have kept copies of all 13 of the Boston Mountains Tour instruction sheets and handouts. My 2002 Honda S2000 goes into a local shop next Wednesday for its first full body repaint (Black), and I plan on entering it in some of the northwest Arkansas car shows. The paint chips to its frontend tell the story of all the spirited BMT and other tours that this beloved car has participated in.
