So it looks like I have to work Saturday. No fun. I'll probably come down that evening to hang out for a while before coming back home since I'm working Sunday, too. Bleh!

Mike (DragonDidg) from New Orleans told me about this drive. I am going to try and make one this fall if it not near the same dates as the dragon events. He told me that he met another great group of S2000 when he came up for the drive. Keep up the great work people. Hope to meet y'all in the future. Later Bama Dave.

That's the set I went with. Be advised though, the Baofeng speaker/mic you recommened doesn't work with this unit, as the mic plug is reversed, causing a bad connection and a constant TX on the walkie talkie. I have a mic coming from ebay that is supposedly matched to the Midland GXT1000. Hopefully, I have it before the BMT.

Ok it's official, I have the time off work so I will be there (just me). Name's Ben (the Misfit). I'll be there in the Midnight Sky (the car's a Midnight Blue Saturn Sky but that sounds more poetic

I'm planning to attend the BMT (Finally after a few years of trying to make it!) from TX so put me on the list. I'll be booking the hotel tomorrow. Driving up Friday with Tomauto and a few others.
Can't wait to get my S2K back out onto some good roads.
