Hmm I just glanced over our preliminary route and it does not appear that we will be making a fuel stop like we have on previous tours. Right now, the route is only 212.7 miles long, however the route and distance could change. If worse comes to worse, I'm sure there's somewhere along the way you can refuel. I can keep an eye out for some places on our pre-drive.
In no particular order, here are some hotels in Harrison, AR:
Comfort Inn
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites
Hampton Inn
more hotels on Google maps
The exact starting location has still not yet been determined and will probabry not be announced until after the 10/27 pre-drive at which time attempts will be made to negotiate a group rate. Therefore, you may wish to wait until after 10/27 to make your hotel reservations.
Additionally and FYI, there are several hotels right off I-40 in the Russellville, AR area which is near the end of the tour: Russellville

HLN A55, At 76.7 miles into the tour we stop for lunch. From the restaurant it is only 7 miles to Jasper where there are three gas stations. Since we are taking a one-hour break for lunch, you would have time to eat first then top off your gas tank in Jasper and return to the restaurant before we leave for the PM tour. At 145.0 miles in the tour, we are taking a 15-minute pit stop at a Phillips 66 station where you can top off your tank again. The entire tour is only 212.7 miles long and at that distance we are stopping for supper next door to an Exxon station.
We ask that all participants arrive at the start place with a full tank of gas.

I talked to my friend Brian last night, I'm pretty sure he will be joining me on this drive. This will be the first drive he's been on a drive with me since Wake the Dragon 07. I'm sure he'll enjoy this drive a lot more. I know I did last year. Really looking forward to this drive!

Unfortunately, with all of the engine work that I have done, it drinks more fuel then I care to count. On our drives around Texas, I usually get about 150 miles on a full tank-and that is pushing it.
I will most definitely show up with a full tank, sunscreen, and bug-eating smile (I haven't had the chance to drive the car for the past three months ).

sunscreen is a good idea. my head just got done peeling from the three mountain tour, and my racoon eyes have also started going away. was a bit funny looking, but totally worth it.
