Default Alpine Speed Stars Touge Map

Greetings!

Although still in it's early stages, I wanted to share something I have been working on for a little while. The Alpine Speed Stars Touge Map!

It is a simple implementation of Google's maps API with custom styling to make it easy to find interesting driving roads. Each route also includes tags about that particular road, including things like: -narrow, -wide, -lowgrip, -highgrip, -offcamber, etc. They also include numbered tags to indicate the types of corners you will come across, numbered from 1-6, based on estimated gearing for a corner. 1=1st gear, 2=2nd gear, etc.

(In this example I should also add, -blindcorners, -blindcrests, and -jump)

I would like to add many more routes and bits of info, so I thought I would ask everyone to help suggest new routes, and to include as much info as you can. Also if there are any other points of interest let me know! There are plenty of routes I already plan to add, but don't be afraid to suggest anything even the obvious ones that are currently missing.

Oh, and yes it works just fine on the iPhone!

Press the "Share" icon in Safari and you can add it to your Home Screen if you like:

Android? How the f@#k should I know?

Oh! And although this is focused on the bay area at the moment, don't be afraid to suggest routes anywhere in the world. I hear there are a few nice places to drive in Japan for instance:

Also Felter/Sierra Road (off Calavaeras) is worth adding.

Already on there! I will get to adding the others though.

Also I just realized there is currently no way to search so I will get that sorted out as well.

Thanks for the kind words folks! This started more as a utility for myself and turned into something a bit more useful. I plan to start adding in SoCal next and continue to add and add. There are plenty of roads that look like they are worth adding and sometimes aren't, so I am trying to stick to roads I or someone has actually been to and driven so it is more useful.
