Thumbs up Anyone have the iVTEC ECS kit from Design Craft?

I'm seriously considering the iVTEC ECS kit from Design Craft as my first engine mod and I was wondering if anyone in the bay area has taken the plunge already. How do you like it? Pics installed? Please share. I won't be able to order my kit until the spring, just after my next scheduled smog check.

For those that aren't aware, Design Craft has developed an iVTEC kit for the S2000 that finally gives the S2000 some low to mid-range oomph. From what I gather, the gains on an otherwise completely stock motor are estimated at 20-30 HP and TQ at 4500 RPMs. Here are links to the original thread Design Craft opened last year and the group buy going on now.

Turbos and Super Chargers are too extreme for my tastes.

Why do you think superchargers are more extreme than this kit? I think this mod would be more extreme than a supercharger because it's having to change out the head internals. Addition of AEM will be needed to tune. I believe it won't be smog legal and the power/cost ratio would not be as good as a supercharger.

I was just reading about it in the latest Honda Tuning, it's very interesting.

in terms of intensity I'd go...

intake<exhaust<nitrous<supercharger<turbo<k-motorswap<adding ivtec

Don't get me wrong, adding a k motor is a whoooole lot of work, but short of an adapter plate for the tranny, and getting some external bolt-on parts fabricated, you'd have a perfectly good working motor if you did a k-swap.

Whereas, if you're opening up the f motor, adding something on there, and putting it all back together hoping that it'll all work out with heavens-knows-what-kind-of-tune, I'd say it's gonna be less headache troubleshooting the k-swap.

By extremely, are you referring to power output?
