Anyone have a Tillett bucket seat?
Hi y'all, looking for someone who has a Tillet bucket in their S2000 I could get a ride in before I bite the bullet. I'm super interested in this seat, but don't want to make the purchase until I can ride in one.
I live in San Francisco, happy to buy y'all a coffee or something for the time
Thanks!

Nothing specific, I want to be under $2k, and I have a 34 waist / 190 lbs, so something that can fit that and still be comfortable. I generally have to squeeze into most bucket seats I sit in, and I have wide shoulders so it's not that comfortable, but my understanding is Tillett is a bit different and doesn't round your shoulders forward? So was hoping to just sit in someone's before I bite the bullet.

If your budget is $2k, shop for the factory seconds from Gregs Race Parts, you can save quite a bit.

With your size, you'll want the XL seats.
I'm 5' 5" at 155lbs and I fit perfect in a regular B10 with padding
They are VERY comfortable, both in the butt and back.
I just came back from a roadtrip to Socal and the longest stint we did was 3hrs.
I drove my friends 997 and he has the Adaptive Sport Seats, highest tier folding seat, and with the way he has it set up, my lower back started aching after an hour.
I hopped back in my S2k and did the 3hr stint and was more comfortable in the B10
When I had my 997, I had the basic seats and my back hated the drive from Socal back up
You're correct, they don't have shoulder bolsters so it doesn't press your shoulders forward.
The way the seat is sculpted, it holds you by the armpit/shoulder blade area. It's a bit hard to describe until you sit in one.
I drove up to Reno and visited Greg's Race Parts, who specializes in Lotus parts, and visited his showroom to try out the different seats
Oh, if you decide to use PCI brackets, you'll need to cut the middle section of the seat bracket to clear the hump on the seat

There are other seat rails that fit perfectly right? I heard the EVS double locking rails do?
I suggest reaching out to Greg's Race Parts and see if they know any authorized dealers in the area. From what I recall, they're the closest West Coast dealer for Tillet
I think I've read somewhere, maybe here?, someone used EVS double locking rails, but I didn't want to use two hands to move the seat.
I do the locking 3pt belt trick when I'm at the track and need a free hand to make it happen.

Also what’s the 3 pt belt locking trick?

I can't find a good video on this, but you slide the seat back a few steps, pull the factory 3pt belt out quickly so it's locked and doesn't extend further, slide the seat forward against the locked seat belt.
Now you're locked into a 3pt seat belt
