Default Attention...Event Ahoy

So it's April, the weather is lovely, and you wanna go to a cool, civilized and FREE Cars and Coffee. Your only obvious choice is of course Blackhawk this Sunday. No 2.5 hour wait to pay $15 and park on a runway. So let's get those S2000s clean and head for Blackhawk. I will have my NFR AP2 so drop on by, and say hi.

I am guessing not too many of you got to Cars and Coffee today at Blachawk. The variety was staggering. Cars just kept coming and coming, resulting in a final tally of 1298.

Saw three S2000s, one is for sale. It's an AP2 Silverstone/Black with a factory hardtop; clean, low miles, two-owner car. Seller is Ben at 661-496-9997. Very nice guy who took very good care of his S2000.

So everyone should go to the Canepa Cars and Coffee next Saturday in Scott's Valley. If you haven't been you owe it to yourself (if you are a true car person) to check it out. It's pretty unbelievable.

Yeah, $22K. Personally I think that's a pretty good deal. He has the front lip and the dealer-installed wing, the one up on two supports with the little "end plates". I don't care for a wing but at least it's not three feet in the air. Car has not, in my opinion, been tracked or thrashed in any way.

Yesterday was my 2nd time at C&C Blackhawk. Definitely need to get there even earlier to get a decent spot. I got there a little bit after 7 and the first few rows were already full. I saw two other s2000's. a RYP CR and a NFR AP2. I had the White AP1 with a wing that was about 1 foot in the air from the trunk.

I am glad you came yesterday, wing or not!! Yes, the yellow CR is a regular attendee with whom I've had several conversations. He left early yesterday though. And the red AP2 was me. Sorry I missed you. Does your car have a racy paint scheme? If so I did see you. The silver AP2 with the hardtop was parked near the gym entrance.

See you you next time.

Blackhawk was nice but I'm too lazy to wake up early on Sundays and do a long freeway drive these days.

Default And furthermore..

If you didn't make it to Cars and Coffee yesterday at Canepa Design in Scott's Valley, you definitely should plan to get there next month. That place is the very closest thing to automotive Nirvana accessible to normal human beings. Despite occasionally-challenging weather, a monstrous crowd showed up starting well before dawn. The cars and restoration projects in there are mind-boggling to say the least. The access Bruce Canepa allows, especially to the shop, is truly amazing. Check it out.
