You guys ever run into this problem? Looks like the parts alone will be around $200 but doesn't look like a huge project. Have any recommendations near foster city or sunnyvale? Should I just do this myself?

Yes this is a common problem that comes from wear and tear.

Go to Blacktrax Performance in Milpitas. Hands down the best place you could take it to. Ask for Aki.

Generally not something you can do yourself, as you need a press to remove and reinstall the wheel bearing.

joey aka ItS2krazy is popular choice for local members. he's in the South San Francisco area. check out his listing in the local shop directory in this section &/or PM him. brought my car to him for a couple thou$and worth of routine maintenance & mod installs the last 3 months. i used to do a lot of the work on my cars, but i don't have the time or energy to do it anymore. i don't trust my cars to just anyone either.

oh, and wheel bearing installs are not something you want to do on your own, unless you have access to a press to remove the bearing. you can always take the hub off and take it to a machine or local shop to press them out, but imo, might as well just pay the $$ and have someone do it all.

Joeys shop is where I would go. It's geographically close to foster city. See link in my sig for contact details.

I just had Aki at Blacktrax replace both of my rear bearings and hubs last week and would recommend him as well.

Definitely! I'm a little more familiar with THill, so I shouldn't be that much slower than you compared to Buttonwillow. I'm looking forward to following you around and finding some time to shave off.

My wheel bearing was only $30 new & a hub was about $70 new. Labor was about $150 at Speedzone
