Question Cageless Track Day Organizers - Who doesn't require them?

As the title states, what local NorCal track groups don't require additional rollover protection in the S2K? I'm planning to get a Hard Dog bar put in the next couple months but I want to get some tracks days in before then and was wondering what groups don't require it.

Speed SF is one that comes to mind as being unclear on what they require. Anyone have experience with them?

Thanks!

yep speedsf does not require rollbar for s2k at least as of spring this year

best way to confirm is just contact the organizer before you sign up

Good to know! Yeah I emailed them and they said as long as the driver's head is below the top of the roll bar then it's fine but I wanted to get some confirmation from someone who's tracked with them.

Thanks

Most organizations won't require them if you pass the "broomstick" test with the stock roll hoops.

However...in high performance driving scenario...the risk isn't worth it to not have a cage

ive seen too many cars wreck on track without a roll bar/cage

I've run both trackmasters and hooked on driving without any additional roll bar. Although one or the other might require one in the advanced groups.

I've run with NASA, Trackmasters, and Speed Ventures, neither of whom require it and don't do any sort of broomstick. NCRC is the only group that I know of that's anal about it.

As of this summer 2017, I've run with the following groups and haven't had an issue with stock roll hoops:

SpeedSF
NCRC
Hooked on Driving
NASA

pretty sure you only need a cage for certain classes of sanctioned racing
