i'm pretty sure the you will still get a ticket if you put your jdm plate on. i was planning on doing the same thing on my car. i tried to get a plate that matches my rear but it wouldn't fit cause of the japanese characters.

all a cop has to do is tell you that it's not matching the rear and not a california issue plate. (then give you BS about they need your front plate so if you run a red light they'll catch you)

but for euro plates i dont' know.

hope that helps.

yea i chatted with blureds2k about this....I have a euro plate but it matches my california plates...also...i dont have exhausts. im pretty sure your more likely to get pulled over for having JDM plates than not having plates at all. the cops will go,"wtf is this ching chong shit." and pull you over.

ahhaha ok i guess i cant put use of my JDM plates. but i do know that one of my friends had a euro plate made with the california numbers and letters. and he parked the car outside. so what they did was ring his door bell and confiscated it. also hassled him and gave him a ticket. but i thought for some odd reason that a JDM one would be ok cause they wouldnt be able to read it and also has nothing of the US california numbers and letters on it.
