Default s2000 cracked wheel/bmw e23 Cracked oil pan / city reimbursement?

Short story: Dropped off co-worker, upon exiting neighborhood no warning or stop sign for speed dip (reverse speed bump), speed was too quick by the time I noticed, and suspension compressed too fast and smacked the oil pan good...

Has anyone had success with getting the city to reimburse for damaged components due to bad city roads?

I have also recently replaced a cracked TC105N (zero curbs and zero bends, just cracked spoke) on the s2000 that I would like to put on either Milpitas , San Jose, or some city I pass thru on my commute to work as they all have terrible roads in sections I cross and hopefully get that reimbursed as well if possible.

If cities reiumburse great, if not then too bad for me.

thanks

sounds like you caused the problem by going to fast in a neighborhood. Possibly you missed the signage? Is your car stok ride height? Anyways I don't think the city is responsible for any of it.

If the streets are damage the city is responsible for it. That why we ALL pay taxes... It's a long process, but it's worth trying. Back in 2005 or 2006 I got $800 for a damage wheel and arm suspension of an Honda accord.
You contact your local city office, fill out a form, get a written estimate and meet with the city adjuster to settle your claim.

the BMW is roughly stock ride height, can fit a FIST into front fender roughly. No signage, checked again. I was going around 15... those dips KILL. hard to tell at night

The s2000 wheel must have been from some craggily surface or some holes on the roads but cannot avoid without looking like a full lunatic crossing multiple/opposing lanes.

Thanks K lo, will contact a city office and request for form

Being they are responsible for it be preparred to jump through hoops to get it, Unfortunately that's how they tend to get by without paying in most cases. People give up and don't take the time necessary to pursue so document EVERYTHING and be persistent.
