South Bay Honest Mechanic

South Bay Honest Mechanic
Hello South Bay Area,
I need your help. My wife's car broke down while visiting her mom and her car is acting up. It sounds like an alternator but can do much from down here. I need a recommendation for an honest mechanic in the San Jose (east) area. This place needs to be good so I can get us back safely. This is for a 2002 civic ex. Thanks in advance.

+1 for Blacktrax. If they can't get her in on short notice, or leaving the car at a shop presents a challenge, then I recommend Acura Honda Connection (AH Connection). They are pretty close by, do good work, and have a fleet of clean and free Honda loaners so there's no drop-off/pick-up hassles. They're a large enough shop that they could probably squeeze someone in on short notice. I use them for the occasional standard job I don't want to do myself because they are incredibly convenient.

If I recall correctly, Tech 3 is technically closer to East San Jose. Regardless, the OP can't go wrong with any of the suggestions made thus far. Assuming, of course, that the car will make it to those shops on its own.
