Thunderhill, $155, Friday Feb 8th

My 7th year at Thunderhill! Hope some of you will come try my event. I rarely get out to meets or anything of that nature, so I'd love to meet some of you at the track. I usually drive the other honda, but this time I'm bringing the s2000, and thought it only appropriate to invite the gang.

Location: Thunderhill Raceway Park, Willows, California
Date: Friday, February 8, 2008

Event Format:
Three rungroups, each getting one 20 minute session per hour, then a full hour session from 4-5pm.

Groups will be as follows:
Advanced GRIP
Intermediate GRIP
Beginner GRIP

In addition to the full track, there will be a mini course on the skidpad north of the paddock. Autocross it, drift it, do what you like. And there's more! We will also be setting up a skidpad east of the paddock big enough for second gear circles. Practice oversteer skid control, do donuts, transitions, figure 8's, whatever you please The mini course and east skidpad are the only places where drifting will be allowed. Drifters will be placed into their appropriate level GRIP sessions, but no drifting will be allowed on course.

Hmm, it looks tempting. I'll keep this in mind for my first track event of 2008.

hey don is the price 155 for us even if we're non-members? What's the weather like up there during Feb.? I'm definitely interested, and should have my car prepared by then.

The site says $199 for non-members. Don, can you tell us where we can find more info about your group? I can't find this info anywhere.

Don has great events and plenty of track time for everyone.

I went to his last one in November and it was a blast.

It would be great for you to come out to a meet or something and introduce yourself. You will find more people will be willing to attend your events if we know who you are instead of just some random guy using the forum for some free advertising. There are after all many choices for HPDE events at Thunderhill.

I would love to, I'm not really the meet sort of guy, and I'm not loyal to any one brand of car :D , so it's tough to get out to all the various meets.

But I'd love to meet some of the folks. I do hang out at various shops frequently. The guys at Blacktrax know me (I havent actually hung out there, but I consider them friends through trackdays). "The shop" in San Bruno all know me. And Richard's workshop in Oakland to name a few.

I'll try to make some upcoming meets, you make a good point.

See you all soon!
Don
