Well, Cindy got the go ahead from the Doc so she and I will spend new years in Yuma,AZ. No Yuma doesn't have any big things going on for new years, but they do have 410 sprint car racing for 5 of the first 9 days of '16. The race's are on the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 8th and 9th, 33 showed up last year for the first race series and it looks like 45 to 50 cars will show up this year.
It's funny, Cindy had a Doctor appointment on the 29th of this month and when she got the go ahead(from the Doctor) as soon as we got home we got all our reservations for the hotels and packed up what we needed and off we went the next morning for Yuma. Prices are dirt cheap for hotels in Yuma, with my AARP card(yes I'm officially OLD) we got our room for $35 a night and they cook us breakfast.

Back on Oct. 27 Cindy wished she was dead with all the pain from the super high dose of chemo(50 weeks worth in a 20 min. IV) she could not eat or drink anything for around 2 1/2 week(fed her through the IV line). She spent a month in the hospital and when I got her home she still didn't eat or drink much because all her taste buds were dead, no food or drinks tasted good in fact it tasted so bad she would puke. She finale got to like(or tolerate) chicken noodle soup, so that is what she had for around 3 weeks. Most food still tastes funny to her but she can eat it now and keep it down.

I knew she would want to go to the races if the Doc said see could, but this was one time I wish the Doc would have said NO. But after all she went through there was no way in HELL I would say no if the Doc said yes.

So here are the cars we are going to see(we do love sprint car racing)

So to all,
Have a fun and safe New Years

No but we did go through the Yuma territorial prison, bet it wasn't near as fun 120 years ago.
The racing has been great with lots of passing. K.Larson(NASCAR driver and won Sat.) had the Wed. race won till he got loose in turn one and S.Stewart got around him for the win with 6 laps to go.

p.s. when it rains here the roads turn to mud, good thing we're in our Jeep. Not enough rain to clean the roads. LOL
