Help with paint oxidation
hello fellow CVS2Kers, its been a while since ive been a regular here, so hello to everyone i havent seen in a long time, and to all the new people too.
i have a problem i am hoping someone here can help me with. my S sits in the sun all day as i dont have a garage, and consequently during the last year the paint has become oxidized in a few spots. not clear-coat-peeling off bad, but definitely oxidized. i have looked into buying a random orbital polisher, but it all seems a little over my head with the hundreds of products and pads you can buy, so i was wondering if someone locally has one and can polish up my paint and bring it back to its original luster. was hoping someone i knew here could help, but i will take recommendations of shops or others too if you have personal experience with their work. or i would be happy to pay and assist someone here in doing it, itll give me some experience too! anyway, staring down the barrel of another fresno summer beating down on my paint has lit a fire under me to get the paint taken care of ASAP. my S deserves to be all shiny again!
please let me know if anyone can help me out!
thanks
stephen

Most likely some elbow grease will do the job. If not, full dishwasher detergent wash, clay, polish, finish, seal may be needed. Grab a cheap car cover when it's not in use, helps out big time and well worth the few bucks it costs vs. a whole paint restoration.
