Looking to get a valve adjustment done. Just bought an AP1 with 80k. Trying to start off on the right foot.

Took my S to Mike's tonight to look at the left rear hub, I had some play in it and I thought I had a bad bearing and/or hub. It would make a bad grinding sound from time to time and I could make it louder if I turned to the right to load the left wheel. Sure as hell it still had the slop in it and Mike said it might be the bearing but he still checked all of the suspension out and he said that it looked like no wrenches have touched the car since the factory put the car together. Then he touched the axle nut(yes, just touched the nut) and it moved! It was still striked and the paint still lined up from the factory. It was just finger tight, it would not move to far because it was striked but it was way to loose. Mike pulled out his air gun and turned up the pressure and the damn nut turned about 1/2 of a turn more.

I took the car out for a spin and no more noise from the left rear so I guess I'll go buy a big socket and torque both sides down.
Mike's garage is very clean and that is one thing I look for when I take my car anywhere to be worked on. If the garage is dirty I don't leave my car. I will have to take my S back to Mike to do my valves and plugs in the near future.

Mastar Mike, keeper of all things Honda!

Thanks man, the TSX runs like new after the valve adjustment and the transmision fluid change, that was some much needed TLC, the idle is so smoooth now.

Like always, excellent work man, AND unbeatable prices!

Mike is the man for all your Honda needs!
