according to that chart in the link. 1 brand new s2000 has been sold so far in 2011. after 2 years of production there seems to be some new ones here and there. pretty amazing...i wonder what the mark up was??

Wouldn't be surprised if there is a dealer somewhere just holding onto a CR or two...
When I was looking at Mitsubishi Evo IX's after they had already gone out of production (this was around late 2008 I think), my local dealer (South Coast Mitsubishi, largest Evo dealer in the world) had a "secret stock" of brand new Evo IX MR's that they were willing to sell for, well, pretty much insane prices.

When I bought my new 2008 (not a CR) in late Nov, 2009, there were under 100 new available in the US from what I could ascertain. I got mine for just over $8,000 below MSRP. Plus, the newly elected Dem congress and Barack gave me +- $2,000 tax credit for 2009!
