2002 230k, misfire and low compression : What to do?
Hello,
I have a 2002 s2000 with 230k miles.
I've enjoyed riding this car and would love to fix it and drive it forever.
Currently, I have random misfire and low compression on #3 and 4.
Chain timing tensioner needs to replaced every 6 months, and engine burns 1 quart of oil every 1500 miles.
1) worst case scenario, what's the cost of rebuilding this engine and how long does this take?
2) worst case scenario, what's the cost of getting a replacement engine and labor cost?
3) any recommended shops? I'm in Anaheim,ca
Will i be faced with more problems? Shall i sell it? so many questions...
Thanks in advance.

It's probably time to rebuild. My head was pretty trashed at about 215k miles, but the block still looked good. I ended up sourcing out a low mileage motor and swapped it. I do plan on rebuilding the original motor and re-installing it though.
