anyone know anything about Navy recruiting?
after the LAPD and LACSD going on a long freeze... my brother decided to go with the NAVY. From the get go he wanted to go to search and rescue.. the recruiters knew this and prepared him for it.. he trained with the future navy seals, he passed all his tests for SARS.. he 100% qualifies for the SAR program..
hes gone to MEPS about 5 times now to swear in.. hes actually there right now. they keep making excuses why they cant give him his contract right now and that he cant swear in.. they put him up in a hotel 3 of the 5 times now the day before the swear in.. he arrives and then there are always problems..
ill list the excuses here in order
1. end of fiscal year.. they put about 30 navy recruits in a hotel then took em to the swear in and denied all of them.
2. they couldnt find his child support paperwork
3. his eye doctor put 20/25 and not correctible.. (was a mistake and got a waiver)
4. WIERDEST EXCUSE*** they said that the search and rescue person he was replacing was not out of the computer system yet.. I didnt know they have a limit on how many people they could have for SAR. i thought it was just an excuse. on top of that they said he needed to retake his psat's (expired due to the delays)
5. this morning they called him and told him that the person was taken out of the computer and he needed to get down there in 30 mins. he goes and then they tell him his medical expired due the the delays as well..
is the navy just really that disorganized or are the recruiters jacking him around in the hopes that he might get squeezed in so they can make their commissions?
all my friends were in the marines and dont seem to know much about the navy recruiting system for some reason.. anyone hear?

i know tj recently enlisted.. im looking for someone who knows the navy recruiting system well or at least been in the navy long enough to know how they usually operate.
