Anyone know rott16 or know anything about the car he's selling?
I have been in contact with a guy from this board, username rott16. He has offered me a salvaged, rebuilt, '02 for a very good price. I spoke to him for a while last night, but am still waiting to hear back on some info and some pics of his car. He said that he didn't mind if I asked around the board about it.
Has anyone seen the car he's selling or know anything about it? It's a monte carlo blue on red interior. Apparently it was hit pretty bad, and i'm trying to determine if I want to consider the car based on the very good price, or if I'm not comfortable with it because of the damage it sustained.
If anyone can offer any insight on it, please let me know. Thanks!

monte carlo blue with red interior? hmmm, lots of his prior posts have been pulled. he seems to be "the hook up guy" that you just can't believe what the heck he is selling. I know you talked with him for a while, but for some reason, there's something I just don't trust.

Well if it's a salvage title, I wouldn't doubt that the car needed a complete paint job, and no doubt the color that the restorer (rott16?) went with is Monte Carlo Blue since that's what we all wished for in the States.
Can you get the VIN and do some kind of CarMax-ish lookup on the history of this car? Dunno what's possible and what's not....
