Default Anything in SoCal better than Chewerks?

Is there any S2000 shop in SoCal better than Chewerks for clutch & diff work? Preferably near Irvine, but I’ll drive anywhere in LA/OC for the very best.

2008 AP2, one owner, red on black, 55k miles, all stock except for a new (2017) canvas top.

All dealer service so far. Dealer replaced the diff fluid at ~50k, and ever since, the diff groans when turning at low speed. Also, I’m still on the original clutch, probably needs replacement in the next year or two.

I would recommend Loi spec garage. He is meticulous, and has great pricing and turn around time.
However not near irvine, but worth a phone call for a quote.

I have over 75k miles on my 01 stock clutch and its still going. I guess driving style would varry the replacement but just throwing it out there for you for reference

I second that question, out of curiosity.

A little far from Irvine, but I recommend Tony Fuchs at Mid Valley Auto

Stating that your car has only been dealer serviced since brand new isn't something to be proud of. I wouldn't put it past many dealers to not even perform the service you paid for. I have personal experience with this. I only serviced my s2k at dealerships for the first 7-8 years of its life. When I took it to Evasive for a diff fluid change, I was told that they had never seen diff fluid so black/dark before and that it had an odd smell. That implies that the dealerships likely never changed my diff fluid, even after paying to have it done twice. The point of no return came when I paid to have a set of tires installed. The dealership service dept damaged all four rims irreparably. Since going on the limb, I have tried Evasive, Rockstar and Chewerks. I only take my car back to Evasive and Chewerks. I suggest you do the same.

Sounds like the wrong fluid was put in your differential by the shop.

If by shop you mean the Honda dealership, then sure, I can totally believe it. Either they put the wrong fluid in, or they never even bothered to change it. I think the latter is a more likely scenario.
