My battery died on the way to a weekly meet a few weeks ago. AAA had a battery van come out to test my old one and found it needed replacing. The new one cost $150 and comes with a 3-year non-prorated warranty plus 3 additional years prorated.

I just designed my own battery bracket + catch can mount. The battery I used is the ETX18L found here for $90 shipped:

It's an AGM battery which is sealed and generally safer than wet acid. Oh and don't forget the SAE terminals.

I've always used the Odyssey PC680. They usually last me about 3years which is how long my OEM one lasted. You can get them at Batteries Plus if you need it quick, but they sometimes can be found cheaper online.

Mine died when the car was one year old so Honda gave me a new Honda-branded battery pro bono. I think that it has a 7 yr warranty. If a battery lasts 3 years, consider yourself lucky, IMO. For my passenger cars, I get them at Costco. They rate pretty well in battery tests. I don't know if they have one appropriately sized for the S2K. I have a Battery Tender, as well, which works very well if your car is not a DD. I used the supplied harness so I just plug it in and it is good to go.

I have a interstate battery in my s2k, no problems with that, but if I could go back in time I would of gone with oem, not only for the warranty but mainly because the blue color would of flowed better in my engine bay than the green
