Well, I'm towing my car to Miller Honda in Culver City. Unfortunately Weseloh is way too far to tow so Honda Care doesn't fully cover it and the car is no longer drivable. The noise coming from the rear-end changed into hammer-strength vibrations after I drove it for 2 miles from home to work yesterday. Wish me luck

Well, yeah, they told me they are going to break down the differential and have someone over from Honda Care take a look at it.. I guess it's a standard procedure. At least these guys are not trying to lubricate the spindle or sell me the fluid change as a part of the package. Or maybe it wasn't quite as obvious and I just overreacted at Santa Monica Honda.

Good luck at Miller. A few people on the board have had better luck there than at Santa Monica.
What kind of noises were coming fromm your differential?? Was it a ringing noise?

The noise was of "knocking" type I guess. The last time I drove the car (on Sunday.. I had an appointment at Weseloh on Tuesday and was sure the car would make it there because the knocking wasn't bad), and I was accelerating lightly in fourth at around 3000 rpm and then there was a loud sound of something breaking and the knocking got really bad and felt like a hammer was pounding on the chassis. Such a pain.
Stuart is the service manager who is working with me. He seems to be very professional so far. Let's see what Honda Care has to say.
