Thank You for this write up!!! Just set my transmission on the ground...what a relief lol. I did everything you said but I did not remove the bolts from my AC or do anything to my steering.

im going to change my clutch next week using jack stands, some people say i can access those two upper tranny bolts from under the hood, some say take the engine mount off and lower the subframe, i really dont wanna touch the steering because i might mess up the alignment can you tell me how you did yours.

I don't know if you guys have seen the clutch install DIY for the s2 on Honda tuning but it seems easier how do It. It does not mention the removal of the ac bolts or touching the steering. It seems like they just unbolted the rear tranny mount and let the transmission hang, then get the same extensions used for the upper starter bolt and use it to unbolt those. Here's the link to where the guide is, http://www.hondatuningmagazine.com/t...l/viewall.html

is there a difference in the install procedure for the AP1? i have a 2001 S2K and i just want to make sure that these install directions are the same for the S2k 2000-2009 production. Any help would be great and if anybody here knows smoeone who installs S2K AP1 upgraded clutches for cheap in the easter Pennsylvania area please hook me up. Thanks everyone

Anyone know if doing this with the "letting the trans hang" option still works with stiff mounts? I currently have Innovative mounts on my car but I dont want to ruin them if I go this route......any help is appreciated.

For future reference I was able to easily remove the top two transmission bolts from the top after dropping the subframe down. I used a long handle 17mm.
