Clutch Problems
[B]Hey whats guys, im just wondering what are the symptoms for a low clutch. My s2k has been acting weird lately. When i drive it, it sometimes making weird noises as im coming to a stop and also my gears get stuck. I was thinking it might be either my clutch or my tranny. Any answers please let me know. Thanks

are your gears 100% engaged or do you mean it's kinda like maybe 10% engaged even with the clutch all the way down? Mine does that in 2nd gear a lot...

^ The above posted issues (OP & Mike) sound like a lack of disengagement of the clutch plates.
95% bet would be that fluid has leaked out of the system somewhere or you have air in the lines meaning its leaked IN. Both of you should check for low fluid first of all, also check if the fluid is dirty. The first step is to have your clutch bled. I would assume this would fix both your problems. While your at it see if you had a lot of air inside, and look for wetness anywhere in the system where it might be leaking out. This kind of issue is VERY minor and no biggy in general. If you don't act on it you'll end up with premature wear of the syncros no doubt. -Greg |
