Clutch Replacement Shops in SoCal?
Hey all,
I'm looking for a shop in the South Bay or 626 area that can replace the clutch in my '07 s2000. I want a shop that does good work & preferably on the cheap side. However, I'm willing to pay whatever it takes for the job to be unmistakably done correctly. Any recommendations with some detailed justification? I'm very nit-picky about my car and have gone to "reputable" shops, still leaving with dissatisfaction... I currently have Mandalay Auto Center in mind from its glowing yelp reviews and they are currently charging $400 bucks for labor. Help?
Do you know if your recommended shop will resurface a flywheel and supply Honda hi temp grease for the job? I have only the new clutch disk, new pressure plate, and new bearings.

Tech Craft in Irwindale.
The problem with reputable shops is that you don't always get the main mechanic working on your car, but rather a hired employee, so their reputation might not transfer to the person that is actually working on your car.
Tech Craft is a one man shop, Matt is the owner and Matt would work on your car. Specializes in BMW and Porsches, has been a tech at Toyota and Mercedes, and he will do a meticulous and detail oriented job.
Give him a call. His prices are very reasonable.

R1 Motor in San Gabriel.
Ask for Ray and tell him Angelo sent you. I'm taking my '05 in this week to get the clutch replaced. It's his shop and he will be the one working on your car. I trust him with my S which basically means I trust him with my life. He is very honest and his prices are fair.
