so tmz reports that leno is getting his OLD job as host of tonight show at 11:35. go back seven months ago and that's where everything is after all this drama. i'm personally disappointed. i used to watch leno on tonight show and when he stepped down, i thought it was the right move. i love conan and think he's doing a great job. i love his witty humor and his weird antics. but seriously, nbc f$#ked up. conan is the future, not leno. lakers didn't let kobe leave. why is nbc choosing "shaq"?

what are your thoughts?

btw, i'm following conan to whatever network he ends up going to (FOX, right?). good thing i have directv and not cable. but that's another issue.

nbc effed up 5 years ago signing the contract for conan. now its biting them in the ass. its not that i dont like conan, but 5 years in the future? come on...

my question is, who at nbc didnt see this olympic programming coming that raised the big mess? it doesnt make sense that the olympics are all of a sudden causing this friction. why wasnt there already a plan? and it only lasts like a month.

I think he's pretty damn funny, plus you have to consider Jay wasn't Jay before so many years on the Tonight Show.

I recall people saying things when Johnny left the show too.... about being "irreplaceable".

this whole predicament is a little bothersome for me.. i was excited about the change as i liked both hosts. ive always preferred Conan but jay is the johnny Carson of our time. I think most people dont seem to really know the whole situation and im not really going to go into it..

it doesnt have to do anything with the olympics.. im not sure where u heard that from. i havent heard that version yet.. it has more to do with ratings..

i liked the lakers kobe shaq analogy. that was pretty good.

yes, of course the ratings have to do with the decision making, but then again, its just been 7 months and leno at 10 itself has totally changed the format of late night anyway. one can blame his poor ratings for even conans ratings. not that its jay's fault, just sayin, the situation is clearly messed up. but why is this an issue NOW because of the olympics.
