McDonald’s 3-day frappe freebie starts Thursday

Have you tried the new Frappes?
Southern California McDonald’s will be giving away free 7-ounce samples of the chain’s new frappés over a three-day period starting Thursday.

The McCafé frappés are blended-ice drinks available in either mocha or caramel flavors. The drink is the latest addition to the chain’s McCafe beverage line.

Since debuting the McCafe line last year, the beverages have become a less expensive rival to espresso drinks found at Starbucks. The quick-serve coffee wars are sure to heat up with the introduction of the frappes.

Sample drinks will be given out April 15-17 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at participating McDonald’s restaurants in Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties.
