Default LA mechanic?

Wanting to upgrade my AP1's intake valve retainers/keepers, but not completely confident in my mechanical know how (and more importantly don't have the tools). Can anyone recommend a mechanic around the West Side of LA? Further is fine as well, I'm thinking Tony up at Mid Valley in SFV, but it's a bit of a pain to drop my S off there and get back.

I would go with Tony. Great mechanic and a good guy that does lots of S2000s.

Definitely worth the drive. He's also available some Saturdays by appointment and usually tries his best to accommodate pickup/drop off times that work best for the customer.

I've also been looking for a mechanic in the LA/OC area. Any reviews for Rockstar garage, Ballade, or any other suggestions?

ballade is cool, alex is a nice guy and matt is cool to talk to. i got my tct installed there, and scooped up a deal on BC racing coilovers. i take most of my work to tony fuchs though, hes 20 min away vs the 1.5h drive to ballade.

read my review on ballade collision before even thinking about taking your car to alex. unless you like getting rammed from behind.

I do work out of my garage in the IE. I've done about 18-20 clutches and wrote the DIY on here. Open to clutch jobs and major services like valve adjustments and fluid flushes.
