Haha nice - now I know I can block 7 bullets from a machine gun using a katana b4 I die...
the bullets that got split looks like it could do MASSIVE damage - much like shrapnel. I doubt one could survive either way

That was a Browning .50 cal, right? That's a bit excessive. Unless you're rushing the US Army in a fortified position, you probably won't have to take on a .50 cal with your Katana.
9mm or 5.56 should be no problem. Besides, you don't need to split the bullets, just bat them away. They used entirely the wrong technique!
