NOT Locking video threads:

Ok, so I know that there's a good chance this thread will get locked, but I just wanted to get some discussion out there about So Cal's policy to lock video threads. I've stated my opinion on it before, but what the heck, lets get everyone ELSE's opinions about it:
The way I see it, most of the video links generate discussion... (i.e., Enzo thread... Kick ass Ferrari commercial, etc. etc.) And, isn't discussion what this message board is about? It's a FORUM for crying out loud!!
I can understand why the joke threads were locked and confined to one thread. A joke is a 1-time read and laugh, when was the last time you discussed a joke? But video clips are different. Heck, if nobody's interested in discussing it, it will fall off the first page in 2 hours anyway, so what's the big deal?
I won't look for examples... but lets just say that we've all seen PLENTY of "unnecessary" threads that happen in SoCal that do NOT get locked. Why the prejiduce against video clips?
Here's my vote to LIFTING the automatic ban on video threads and their discussion. Who's with me?

if this were any other region on this board I would disagree, but socal is sooo active I'm with you on this.
