Rockstar Garage is leaving S2ki.com
this is Justin Taylor, aka "the s2k dude". ive been a proud s2000 owner since 2006 and been on s2ki equally as long.
s2ki was like a home for me. i felt like i was on this website most of the day. ive made great friends on here, some of who i still keep in touch with today. s2ki was a great part of my life.
unfortunately, after the buy out, the page seemed to get less interesting. lots of members/ friends left. the pages here just arent lively anymore. most of us are now on the FB pages. it seems easier to stay in constant communication with one another. there is more drama, sure, but there is a lot more fun there.
rockstar garage has been doing the majority of our online sales thru facebook and instagram. these sources are free for the most part. s2ki charges us a good amount of money to be part of the site every year. were simply just not seeing the returns we would like here. i hope we have established our name well enough by now that s2ki isnt what is giving us our "credibility"
with that being said... i am officially letting you guys know that rockstar garage will no longer be paying for, or advertising on s2ki.com. i figured i would post this before any rumors got started that we had closed down, or got banned from s2ki etc. we will still continue doing business as normal.

I have noticed this too. I use to live in the R&C Page. But now it’s dead. Mod and parts is also dead. SoCal is somewhat active but I haven’t been here forever too. I popped in to post some stuff FS but it looks like nothing is moving too.

Well this sucks. IMO, Facebook should be used to keep in touch with your friends and family, and that's it. Mixing Facebook with friends and family, and car discussion groups is liking mixing Church and State! They should remain separate at all times!!
Even though I don't post much, I still love this place and come here daily for my S2000 fix on news/info/stuff for sale/etc and will continue to do. Maybe one day FB will start charging all you guys to advertise and you'll come back to the car forums where you belong.

I agree completely too...its the sign of the times I guess
