Hi, I've recently moved to Hollywood CA from Illinois and I'm looking for some insight on a reliable mechanic that is knowledgeable about our cars and does good work for a fair price. Any suggestions on places you could recommend around West Hollywood/Hollywood area would be appreciated.

Here are a few of the things I need done in the near future:
Valve Adjustment
Transmission Fluid Change
Diff Fluid Change

I'm also looking into a reliable body shop as my driver side door has some major chipping/flaking that needs to be repainted.

Welcome to LA! There are a bunch of S2000 specialty shops around SoCal. The three well known shops around the LA area are Ballade Sports in Garden Grove, Evasive Motorsports in Santa Fe Springs, and Rockstar Garage in Ontario. I Think the closest one to you might be Evasive. I personally like going to Ballade to get my work done but I have made the majority of my mod purchases from Evasive. I heard Rockstar is good too but it is a little out of my way. Have you tried changing the diff and transmission fluid yourelf? It's actually pretty easy if you have the space and tools do it.
As for the body shop, DTM is a popular S2000 paint shop. I'm going to take my car to get my lip repainted at T&L auto body as per another S2000 owners recommendation. I'll let you know how that goes. I'm sure others will chime in soon

The main guy owns an S2000 and is one of the few people I trust to work on my car. Especially since he knows I track my car regularly and trust his work to the point he has even ridden with me on track.

30 minutes away??? What time of day do you think he will be driving from Hollywood to Garden Grove that you think he will be able to get there in less than an hour?

I'm all for promoting one'S business, but let's start off with things the customer can have realistic expectations on.

Welcome to Cali! If you're not mechanically inclined, and don't have your own tools etc I can personally vouch for the crew at Ballade Sports in garden grove. Alex and the team do excellent work and have always taken care of me and my s2000. Give them a call, you won't be disappointed! Highly recommended

It doesn't take THAT long from Hollywood to Orange County.....quit whining lol is it not worth it to get good work done for his s2000? I love driving my s2000 I'll drive an hour even two hours I don't care how far it is

Actually, it does take *that* long. Frankly, the original statement was, "your work is that good, no need to give false statements of distance to lure people into your shop".

That's on a Saturday morning at 9:00 am, when traffic isn't so bad because everyone is sleeping in from going out the night before.
