I was in the same boat, moved to downtown LA from Chicago a year and a half ago when from a 5 bedroom house with a 2 car garage to a 1 bedroom apartment and no garage. Most of the shops recommended were about and hour away but I had good experiences from 410 Garage in Chinatown, which is walking distance from my apartment.

My master clutch cylinder was leaking and they replaced the master and slave cylinder it with OEM parts for a very reasonable price and had it done within a day.

They also smog certified my car even with all my mods. Call and talk to Tony.

I've been going to Ballade for many years now. Excellent work, fair prices, no bullshit.

Big, big, big advantage is they are open Saturdays, and also till 8pm, so easy to drop off, pick up your car after work.

+ 1 for what Dave said ^ Alex and crew are great. I won't take my s2k anywhere else. I drive 45min one way to get down there and it's always worth the trek.
