Stock Hood Venting

Was wondering if there was anyone who is familiar with this to give a fellow s2ker a hand? Maybe even set up a day, and get some done for anyone that wants to make it happen.

I feel confident doing this on my own as I have no problem taking my time, but it doesn't hurt to have the help of someone who has done it before... or multiple times.

Hmmm I'll have to pick up some mesh.

Aha! I've been trying to figure out who Greg is haha.

Yes sir, some hood vents would pull a premium one week before race wars lmao... no seriously I'd love any help I can get with these.

Nightime you're more then welcome to join. I'm sure we can knock out a couple in a day. Not sure how to go about setting something like a vent day up though...

Yea,

I'm looking for him too, he nailed my wife and he owes me some money! Dirty b@$tard!

Generally the hoodventing isn't a free service.

Takes some specialty tools to do it right and a bunch of time doing a tedious task that you can't slip on or it'll take even longer to fix and sometimes end up demanding a paint job.

I'm down to oversee the project though and make sure no fingers are chopped off or hoods cut in half. :)

HvRRZ 07-13-2011 08:05 AM

lol... well I'm sure we can hunt him down and beat him down!

Out of curiosity, What's the usual rate to get them vented?
the only concern I really have is the paint chipping while cutting from the underside of the hood...

PM'd.

Heat the hood to avoid chipping is the most important step if it's cold.
