Default Vandalism in Irvine

I received permission from my friend to post this. He lives off the 5 freeway and Jeffrey Road in that section with all the apartments and townhomes. His softop was cut open and his Mugen shift knob was stolen. That is all that was stolen as this time. We just wanted to get the word out that there is a scumbag vandalizing cars in the area and to be aware in case any of you are in that area. Not sure if he or she may be a neighbor or neighborhood hopping.

Jeez, I used to live around there. Was it on Walnut st?
Just when you think Irvine was the safest place. Fortunately it was just the shift knob, not the wheels or even the car.

I just know his place is across the street of a shopping center with an Albertson's.
It is sad to think we have to be thankful our car or wheels were not stolen and it was only our top was cut or a shift knob was stolen. Not much has changed when I bought my first S in 2009.

There was an S2k (also in Irvine) that had the same thing happen to him this week. This isn't an isolated incident.

I recognized this apartment complex. I think my garage is in that picture. Although my vandalism did not happen at that specific apartment, it happened at an apartment more towards the UCI campus.

Are you me?

I lived in this very complex for 3 years, though my S was fine because I parked it in the garage. And I previously had 2 bikes stolen and my car broken into at an apartment near the UCI campus LOL

"Non-violent" crime is on the rise pretty much everywhere in CA thanks to recent laws. They need to start making them work off the debt to the owner whenever they are caught.
