Verizon or AT&T

Verizon or AT&T
So, my contract with Verizon is almost up, and after being a loyal Verizon customer for the past 4 years I'm considering switching. Their service is fantastic, but I'm currently looking to upgrade to a Blackberry to utilize all its services. However, Verizon wants to charge me $149 (after mail-in rebate) for the 8330 and then $100/month for the full service w/ unlimitted text. Considering my roommate is paying $60/month for basically the same service with t-mobile I'm a bit hesitant.
If I get AT&T I get an 8% discount on my monthly bill thru work. I also figure I can get a much better deal on a phone since I'd be a new customer. My only hesitation is that when I had AT&T before I received absolutely horrible service, both reception-wise and from customer service.
So I'd like to hear back from anyone who's using full data/voice services and get some feedback on which direction I should go. Thanks everyone.

i've been using Cingular for the past 3 years which recently switched to At&T after the buyout.
Service is still great and I'm going to be renewing my plan in a few months. Rollover minutes is a plus and free mobile to mobile saves tons of minutes.

Where are you in SoCal? T-mobile has pretty good coverage and their plans are hard to beat.
I live in Orange, but am always up in Fullerton or in South LA. I'm also a bit concerned about reception at the track. At WSIR I'm able to get reception (depending on where I stand) but my roommate's t-mobile is always useless up there. Not a good thing when you're in desperate need of a tow.

I keep a backup AT&T pre-paid phone in case of those situations. There are places that T-mobile don't cover that AT&T does, and there are also places that T-mobile covers and AT&T doesn't. It's nice to be able to get the best of both worlds.
