Visiting LA Thursday 10/27

What's up friends from the other side of the States. I am flying out of Philly to LA tonight for a wedding this weekend in Palm Springs and was wondering if there are any going on's tomorrow night. Unfortunately I will be working for most of the day in Pasadena, but am trying to see as much of the city as I can. I am going to the Petersen Museum Friday which I am pumped about but Thursday afternoon/evening I am trying to make the most of. I'll be renting a car so I'll be able to get around. I am going to try to stop by the evasive shop before they close but that will be dependent on what time I get out of the office and how long google says it will take me to get there. Also I've never had Korean BBQ and definitely want to give it a try (maybe an impromptu meet if I'm lucky?). Anyway I'd appreciate any suggestions on what to do, what to see, and more importantly what to eat haha.

Thanks in advance for the help.

:tipwink:

Me too! I'll be fighting traffic from Pasadena, hopefully I'll get out of there by 3 to leave me some time to compensate for traffic.

This korean BBQ spot near my work is one of the better ones in the SGV (San Gabriel Valley)

The best ones are in k-town though.

Ktown native. I'll just throw down some yelp links for KBBQ spots in ktown.

Quarters - good quality, long wait, outdoors bar/waiting area
https://www.yelp.com/biz/quarters-ko...bq-los-angeles

These two are practically identical. run by the same company/corp. good quality, no outdoor bars
https://www.yelp.com/biz/kang-ho-don...-los-angeles-2
https://www.yelp.com/biz/ahgassi-gopchang-los-angeles-5

Oo-kook - one of the better all you can eat joints, pricier than other AYCE
https://www.yelp.com/biz/oo-kook-kor...geles?osq=ayce

Yang San Bak - specializes in pork, decently priced, cramped tables

Other good places to try:

West Hollywood
M CON - good chicken sandwiches, taiwanese night market food

Downtown
Birdies - Chicken sandwiches and donuts
https://www.yelp.com/biz/birdies-los-angeles

add some more in a bit.

Thanks for the suggestions! I am going to see which is the closest to where I may be. It's awesome out here so far! I ended up renting an eco boosted mustang ($20 more than a fiesta) and had it up on a little canyon road this morning in the Angeles National Forrest. Some fun little roads up there! the stang is no slouch but it's a BIG car, not bad to cruise around in though.

Raffi's Place in Glendale - best kabobs ever
