Same folks who got 220+ on an 04.

At first I was like....DAMN......but......Like Steve posted....

that dyno reads really high compared to most.

My tweaked S2000 only reads 193 on James Evans Dynopac....but somehow a stock S2000 reads 215+ on Shawns......

PLYRS 3 09-12-2005 11:09 AM

depends on who you trust....and who's methods.

I think Honda pays vtec.net to hype things up. :)

I hit 220 whp on a dynapack with my 05', while other ap1's where hitting right around 200 whp that same day. How do you explain that?

Yea, never trust a dyno. Even advertisers on air-intakes/exhausts will dyno their cars in the cold 4 am in the morning and compare it to a car that's in the hot noon. Heck, even manufacturer ratings can be off.

Yes, Yes, Yes.... according to the National Board of Engine Dyno Associates INC. LL(BS)C:

All dyno testing must performed @ 74.2356 degrees and 43.25687% humidity and averaged with results from "Smitty's" In & Out Mustang Dyno off 85 South in Atlanta... or else results are void. GMFB. :argue: :thumbdn:

If any of you guys actually bothered to read the article instead of jumping on the VTEC.net sucks proverbial bandwagon, you would see that they openly admit that the Dynopack reads higher than a dyno jet by about 10 hp. In addition, they also state that there is a very good chance that the car is a ringer and not indicative of what future HP rating might come in at.

As stated before, I' would tend to trust a company whose business focuses, researches and reviews everything from Honda that comes down the pipe. They hold more credibility in my opinion than a bunch of guys on an internet message board with an axe to grind.
