After deciding it's time to get rid of my F4i and trade up to a litre bike, I'm pretty set on the new R1. Debated between the 1000RR and the R1 for a while, but decided on the R1. Now I need your opinions...

Which color option do you like best? Initially the silver/black was by far my favorite, but lately the red/black has been growing on me.

I'll take one of each. I can honestly say I can't decide. You can never go wrong with a blue on a YZF, and the silver looks mean. But the Red... is something new.

I struggled with the decision of 1000RR vs R1 as well...the R1 took the gold and then it was off to decide which color...the Silver took the Gold... .... and for some reason chicks like them too the red one ain't bad though...but I don't like redheads

I don't care for that shade of red. It's not true red like the New Formula Red S2000. It's some other bastardization, it appears. But the blue - that's a real blue. Love that shade. I also think it sets off the mechanical bits better.

^Maybe that'll tell you which color looks the best.
Get the red one if you want less people with the same color, there were always less red R1s than all the other colors.
Blue and silver are just as common as the other. But if you want to be the fastest...........YZF Blue baby!! Watch MotoGP, the blue Gauloises M1 is always faster than the red/silver Fortuna M1.

For $ 995 you can get a completely new set of plastic, including tank...that is dirt cheap!! Hell, I am thinking about getting a spare red,...that would be trippin': go out riding one night in a silver R1 and next morning show up on a trick ass Red R1 ....

BTW, those are Euro models. Here in the U.S., there's no black in the blue.
