Cmon...a J35 putting out 200-250 bhp

By the time Honda actually does this I will be in need of a Ridgeline...

Better hurry up then because the fugly Ridgeline stands a very good chance of being discontinued...
Last year, Honda sold 16,464 Ridgelines, a 51.4% drop from the previous year.

FWIW, that wasn't last year, that was the year before last.

Calendar year Ridgeline sales:
2006 - 50,193
2007 - 42,795 (15.0% drop)
2008 - 33,875 (21.1% drop)
2009 - 16,464 (51.4% drop)
2010 - 16,142 (1.3% drop, basically flat)

^ Still not looking good for the Ridgeline though
I'm sure it is going to go the way of the Element

Is the Ridgeline that bad of a truck?

Elistan 02-09-2011 07:53 AM

I only drove one briefly.
IMO: Handles well, cool features, but very underpowered and 15/20 MPG is disappointing.

Of course, the only other truck I'd consider right now is a Double Cab 4WD V6 5spd manual Toyota Tacoma for $26,145. Which at 236 hp and 4130 lbs isn't much faster, and gets worse mileage at 14/18.

Nah, I'll stick with my old S-Runner. (About 20/22 mpg, and actually somewhat sporty.)

I liked mine, very much. Handles like a large accord and better than any other truck i have driven or owned. Seats were comfortable, storage was excellent, Nav was great, excellent sunroof, storage in bed, etc, etc. I had to take it easy on the throttle and averaged 19-20 consistently. I have never owned such a quality road trip vehicle. I loved mine. I had a RTL w/nav (leather, sunroof, etc, loaded) and leased it for $299 a month back in '06. I think I bought it in Dec '05. 6 months later and my business went to the chitter so I had to sell it as it was my company vehicle.

If you can deal with the mpg, a used loaded one would be a great bargain. My STi gets the exact same mileage but my foot isn't as ginger in it :)

I've seen those sales figures, and yeah, it does scare me about an opportunity to purchase a brand new one...earliest I will be in need would probably be late 2012.

3.5L V6, 2+2, SH-AWD on Accord-based platform.
Picture looks good.

Sounds boring as hell and probably another variant of the Accord Coupe...
