2015 EcoBoost Mustang
I love pretty much every thing about this car. What's not to love about it? In b4 bcuz mustang
FYI, no, I don't plan on getting rid of my S2000 for this car, but it's damn sexy.
Base Price: $25,710
Weight: 3,663
Power: 310 hp @ 5500 rpm
Torque: 320 lb-ft @ 3000 rpm
0-60: 5.2 seconds
70-0: 150 ft
Skidpad: 0.96 g
1/4: 13.9 @ 98
It should be noted that the 2.3 is a stroked version of the 2.0 used in the Focus ST, which sees gains of 30hp/50tq from a tune alone. Imagine with other simple bolt ons what kind of power can be made.
As can be seen in the video below, Ford Racing ran an EcoBoost to 12.56 ET in the 1/4 mile, with a tune, exhaust, slicks, and some chassis upgrades. And maybe some weight reduction
So what are your thoughts??

Dyno results plus Streets of Willow lap times!
The potential for this car has me really, really excited.

Love it! Those are images of the Roush model though right? I'm sure this car will be in the 12's easy with bolt ons and tune. Depending on how strong the motor is 11's with a bolt in replacement turbo I am sure. I bet they will be faster than the 5.0's. I'd still have to go for the Coyote engine if I got one though.
Yeah, that's the Roush RS. That front end is so aggressive and good looking. It would be a piece of cake to swap the Roush bumper to a GT.
A good friend of mine has an 11 GT with exhaust, intake, and tune, and it runs really strong, pulls hard for being all motor.
I could drive an EcoBoost or a GT.
P.S. S2k Talk & Tech is lame. They deleted my post.

The bigger hood scoops and cowls make the front end look a lot better so it's not so flat or something. I agree about that front bumper. Looks great! Stock one looks a little too tame I think.

I think 3600lbs for a 4 cylinder car is heavy. That said, the engine makes great power and I'm sure it has a lot of tuning potential. I would definitely get this motor over the NA V6.
Side note: Wow, this is a good looking Mustang.

Just a tune will probably bring it to 350hp and 390 lb-ft and will match 0-60s times of GT. But it will always be a warranty issue.
Warranty (if tuned), fake sound through speakers, and carbon buildup are my issues with Ecoboost
