AC and radio are no-cost options.
Honestly, I think I'd take this over the GT4 if I wasn't tracking very often (and I'm not, at this point). Same power, still light weight, has the drop top for the sunny summer weather and looks fantastic! Love that they're only doing the manual transmission as well!
Nice to see Porsche finally putting the "right" engine in these cars.

I'm thinking that it's more "permanent" than the old one, in that it stays permanently attached and stores underneath the rear cover. You merely have to unlatch and fold the flying buttress portions of the top, I think.
The top is good to 130ish mph, I believe. Since I rarely exceed that on my daily commute (
), I think I'd be fine.
Do we classify this a roadster simply because it's a drop top and RWD?
Is a convertible M3 a roadster? This car is closer to that than any Roadster I've driven. Kind of meshing two categories together. To me this car is a convertible.
The miata is a roadster. The S2000 is a roadster. This car is just too big, too luxurious, too powerful. (Not a bad thing but it's not what a roadster is about to me)

Less than 3000 lbs. Light-weight fabric drop top. Two doors. Two seats. That's a roadster, if ever there was one! It's barely any heaver than the 2009 S2000 weighed.
The M3 vert has a folding hard top, weighs a million pounds and has four seats. It's hardly comparable and isn't a roadster (four seats automatically eliminates it).

Ah that does make more sense. Was asking for clarification's sake. I guess the car is somewhat of an uber-powerful roadster of sorts. This also technically makes the CGT vert a roadster, no?
I always thought "roadster" meant drop-top, 2-door/seater, RWD.
